A double-acting hydraulic cylinder (Hydraulic stamp) has two piston surfaces, where hydraulic fluid can be applied bilaterally . It enables the cylinder to actively pro- and retract. The affected surface is smaller during retraction because the piston rod is attached to this surface. Thereby the cylinder has higher speed during retraction and a lower force (traction) than in protraction. The following table shows parameters and dimensions of double-acting cylinders.
