Guiding Tape

Guiding Tape Type FB has great slide and fail-safe characteristics (Stick-slip-free), high abrasion strength, high Temperature resistance and also high media resistance. Guiding Tape gets delievered as bulk good. It can easily be cut to the required piston or rod diameter of the cylinder(more information at the bottom of the page).

Clearance determination

We recommend to cut the Guiding Tape in an 45° angle (Picture 1).
Clearance A absorbs thermal expansion (Table 1).

Cutting length determination

After you determined the clearance it is possible to calculate the cutting length Ls :

For Rods: Ls = (d + t) * 3,14 - A
For Pistons: Ls = (D - t) * 3,14 - A
